Welcoming Victory Day, PT KPB Distributes 2,025 Eid packages to the surrounding community

Welcoming Eid al-Fitr 1446 H, PT Kilang Pertamina Balikpapan (PT KPB) distributed 2,025 food packages to communities around the company's operational areas through the Energizing Others program. This assistance was given to 18 villages and villages in Balikpapan City and Penajam Paser Utara Regency (PPU) as a form of company concern in alleviating the needs of the community ahead of the holiday.

The Energizing Others program is one of a series of PT KPB's Ramadan activities entitled Energizing Our Iman, as a form of the company's commitment in establishing friendship with various elements of society. This activity is also part of PT KPB's efforts to carry out social responsibility and strengthen the value of togetherness and concern for others.

VP Legal & Relations of PT KPB, Asep Sulaeman, explained that the assistance was distributed to 8 villages in Balikpapan City as well as 8 villages and 2 villages in PPU Regency. “We want to share happiness with the community around the RDMP Project area managed by PT KPB, especially before Eid,” he said.

He added, through this program, the company hopes that the assistance provided can help meet the basic needs of the community and bring benefits to those in need.

Appreciation from the beneficiaries was present in this activity, one of which came from the Head of Margomulyo Village, Balikpapan City, Aji Syarifah Nur Alifah who expressed her gratitude for the assistance provided. “We express our gratitude and gratitude for the assistance from PT KPB for the community ahead of Eid al-Fitr. Hopefully this package will be useful for the poor and people in need, and PT KPB will be more advanced, successful, and blessed,” she said.

In line with Syarifah, Unis Rais, Head of RT 8 as well as Head of the RT Forum of Lawe-Lawe Village, Penajam Paser Utara Regency, also expressed his appreciation for the company's initiative. “We are very grateful to PT KPB for this assistance, it is very useful, especially for underprivileged residents who really need it,” he said.

As the manager of the Balikpapan Refinery Development Master Plan (RDMP) National Strategic Project (PSN), PT KPB not only focuses on project completion, but is also committed to building harmonious relationships with the community. The Energizing Others program is in line with the values of the President of the Republic of Indonesia's Asta Cita which reflects the spirit of togetherness and social care as part of the company's responsibility in creating harmony with the surrounding environment.

“The company's success cannot be separated from the support of the surrounding community. Through this program, we want to contribute to ease the burden on the community ahead of Eid, so that it can strengthen the relationship and care between the company and the community. Hopefully it will bring blessings to all,” Asep concluded.
