Strengthening Gathering and Synergy, PT KPB Holds Iftar with Stakeholders

PT Pertamina Balikpapan Refinery (KPB) held a gathering and breaking the fast together titled Energizing Iftar at the New Site Office (NSO) Pertamina Balikpapan Refinery, on Thursday (6/3). This activity is a place to strengthen friendship while strengthening coordination with stakeholders in Balikpapan and North Penajam Paser Regency (PPU).

In addition to breaking the fast together, PT KPB also handed over compensation to two Children's Social Welfare Institutions (LKSA) Al-Furqon and An-Nisa. This assistance was handed over directly by PT KPB's Director of Finance & Business Support, Nailul Achmar, and Director of Operations, Arafat Bayu Nugroho.

The event was attended by the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of Balikpapan City and PPU Regency, the District Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimcam), the ranks of the village heads around the project area, as well as representatives from various related agencies, including Kodam VI/Mulawarman, East Kalimantan Regional Police, SKK Migas, Transportation Agency, Environmental Agency, Social Agency, and Public Works Agency. In addition, there were also representatives of banks and state-owned enterprises, such as Bank Mandiri, BNI, Pelita Air, and Garuda Indonesia as well as Pertamina Group East Kalimantan as a form of One Pertamina spirit. On this auspicious occasion, PT KPB displayed the latest project milestone video, which showcases the achievements and stages of the Balikpapan and Lawe-Lawe RDMP Projects that have been successfully completed.

In his remarks, PT KPB's Director of Finance and Business Support, Nailul Achmar, emphasized the importance of collaboration between the company and stakeholders.

“Thank you for the presence of agency leaders and partners. This meeting is expected to further strengthen synergy, so that communication and coordination in supporting project completion can run better,” he said.

Meanwhile, PT KPB Vice President (VP) Legal & Relations, Asep Sulaeman, conveyed the latest developments in the Balikpapan Refinery Development Master Plan (RDMP) project. Currently, PT KPB is entering the final stage of construction and entering the commissioning phase to prepare for refinery start-up. “We remain committed to completing the refinery construction on target, despite the evolving global situation. We also invite media colleagues to continue to oversee this project with balanced and constructive reporting,” said Asep. This activity was also attended by media representatives from the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) Balikpapan and PPU, the Indonesian Television Journalists Association (IJTI), and the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI). The Chairman of PWI Balikpapan, Debi, representing the media crew appreciated PT KPB's initiative in establishing communication with the media crew. “We hope PT KPB continues to maintain good relations with the community and stakeholders. Good synergy will help the smooth running of the project and company operations,” said Debi.

In closing, the Energizing Iftar event ended with tausiyah by Ustadz Firman Rebadu. This activity is part of the Energizing Our Iman program, which has become a tradition of PT KPB in the last three years. This year, the program includes six main activities including Energizing Ramadan, Energizing Iftar, Energizing Bazaar, Energizing Recite Al-Qur'an, Energizing Others, and Energizing New Fitrah, in line with the age of PT KPB which entered its sixth year on May 2025 on May 7, 2025.

As the manager of the Balikpapan and Lawe-Lawe RDMP National Strategic Projects (PSN), PT KPB is committed to always building a harmonious work environment with the environment by strengthening relationships with surrounding communities and company stakeholders. This is in line with the initiative of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises in supporting the President's Asta Cita. With the spirit of sharing and togetherness, PT KPB hopes that this Ramadan will bring blessings to all workers and the surrounding community.
