KPB strengthens inclusiveness through Office Administration Training for people with disabilities

a total of 15 people with disabilities of productive age attended Office Administration Training held by PT Pelangi Pertamina Balikpapan (KPB) with PT Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN) Balikpapan Unit in collaboration with the Indonesian women with Disabilities Association (HWDI) Balikpapan City on February 11-15, 2026 at Banua Patra Balikpapan.

This practice-based training is designed to equip participants with administrative skills relevant to the needs of the world of work, from correspondence management, archive management, report preparation, to professional communication ethics and mastery of office applications.

Vice President Legal & relations PT KPB, Asep Sulaeman, emphasized that the empowerment of the disabled is part of the company's commitment in carrying out social responsibility and sustainability principles.

"Disability Empowerment is not just about social care, but ensuring equal access and opportunities. We want the industry to grow along with increasing the capacity of the surrounding community,” he said.

The company believes that every individual has the same potential and opportunity to develop, contribute, and be economically empowered. Through this office administration training, we hope that participants can gain practical skills that can increase confidence, open up job opportunities, and expand access to the professional world.

This Program is also supported by the Balikpapan City Manpower office and job training institutions as technical implementers. The synergy shows that improving access to work for people with disabilities is a shared responsibility between business, government, and the community.

Meanwhile, chairman of Hwdi Balikpapan, Lily Handayani, expressed appreciation and gratitude for the support provided. “I feel very moved and grateful to the Balikapan PPN Unit and also the KPB for facilitating our great children to learn together, to improve their skills,” said Lily. Through the improvement of work competence, participants are expected to have a stronger provision to enter the formal world of work and increase economic independence in a sustainable manner.
