KPB Mengajar 2025: Energy to Inspire the Country, Supporting the Asta Cita of Human Resources Development

in a series of celebrating its 6th Anniversary, PT Kilang Pertamina Balikpapan (KPB) again held the annual KPB Mengajar program: Energy to Inspire the Country. This year, the activity was held at SMP Negeri 5 Penajam Paser Utara (PPU) and SD Negeri 009 Balikpapan, targeting 200 participants for each school.

The KPB Teaching program is a tangible form of PT KPB's social commitment in supporting educational development and character development of the younger generation, especially around the Refinery Development Master Plan (RDMP) project. PT KPB officers came directly as teaching volunteers, sharing knowledge, motivation, and inspiration through inspirational classes, interactive sessions, and fun learning methods.

The enthusiasm of the participants who took part in the activity was quite high, one of which was conveyed by Kiari, a grade 1 student of SDN 009 Balikpapan. "KPB Mengajar is really exciting! The siblings who come are very fun in teaching. Thank you KPB!" he said.

A similar expression was also conveyed by Anugerah, an 8th grade student of SMPN 5 PPU. "You are very exciting, inspiring us to learn and get to know about PT KPB. My message is to keep up the spirit of learning, because this lesson will be useful in the future." he said.

Both KPB teaching locations are located in PT KPB's operational areas and are the focus of the company's social development. The classroom atmosphere is filled with intimacy; in addition to educational material, the officers invite students to play while learning, so that the learning process feels interactive and fun.

KPB Mengajar carries the awareness that youth is the main foundation of the nation's future. In addition to introducing the world of work and fostering a spirit of learning, this program also shapes positive character and ideals. "More than just an educational visit, this activity is also a moment of friendship between PT KPB and the community. We believe that project success is not only measured by the physical aspect, but how we can grow together with the community," said Asep Sulaeman, VP Legal & Relations of PT Kilang Pertamina Balikpapan.

As part of the 6th anniversary commemoration, PT KPB emphasized that KPB Mengajar is also in line with the Asta Cita of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, especially the 4th point on the development of healthy, smart, and productive human resources. Through this program, PT KPB is present not only as a national energy driver, but also an agent of positive change in education and the development of the younger generation.

With the spirit of Asta Cita, KPB is committed to continue presenting sustainable social initiatives, ensuring that every step of the refinery's operations also brings tangible benefits to the surrounding community.
