In preparation for the Holy Month of Ramadan 1446 Hijri, PT Kilang Pertamina Balikpapan (PT KPB) held a Tausiyah and Joint Prayer event titled Energizing Our Iman. With the theme Working More NYATA (Comfortable, Calm, and Safe), the event took place solemnly at the Ar-Royan Prayer Room of PT KPB on Thursday morning (20/02). Hundreds of PT KPB officers participated in the event, which also featured Ustadz Firman Rebadu as the speaker.

Besides being an annual company tradition, this event also served as a moment to share blessings with orphans around PT KPB’s Ring 1 area. Through its charity program, PT KPB provided assistance to two Children’s Social Welfare Institutions (LKSA), Aisyiyah and Nurul Iman.

In his speech, PT KPB's Director of Development, Djoko Koen Soewito, emphasized the importance of mental and spiritual readiness in welcoming Ramadan, especially for PT KPB officers who are completing the Balikpapan RDMP Project. “I hope that all PT KPB officers see the holy month of Ramadan as a time to stay motivated at work and make it part of their worship. With this spirit, we can maintain productivity and complete our tasks optimally,” he stated.

Similarly, PT KPB's Independent Commissioner, Suleman Tanjung, reminded everyone that fasting teaches the value of devotion, including in carrying out daily duties. “On behalf of the Board of Commissioners, I hope all PT KPB officers remain diligent in their work during Ramadan. Even while fasting, we must stay productive and meet our targets as best as possible, because ultimately, fasting teaches us to be devout to Allah SWT,” he said.

During his tausiyah, Ustadz Firman Rebadu highlighted the importance of working with sincerity and maintaining good relationships with others. “PT KPB carries a challenging responsibility in ensuring the smooth progress of the Balikpapan RDMP Project. Therefore, working with sincerity and fostering mutual forgiveness are essential so that our efforts are blessed and our worship is accepted by Allah SWT,” he conveyed.

This event served as a tangible expression of PT KPB’s commitment to fostering a harmonious work environment while strengthening ties with the surrounding community. Through the spirit of sharing and togetherness, PT KPB hopes that this Ramadan brings blessings to all employees and the community around them.
